Delaware River Basin Stone LLC is the newest venture that Larry Schaefer and George Sanford have created.  In 2016 the sale of the old Indian Country Building at 1823 Airport Road was finalized. Larry and George purchased the old Indian Country Building which had been vacant for many years.  The building had flooding issues in the past, so DRBS has been designed to handle a flood.

DRBS is a bluestone cutting saw shop.  The rock is brought in from Deposit, Roods Creek, and Route 8 quarries. Both pattern and treads are currently the main products produced.  DRBS is continuing to grow, as the fifth five-foot gantry saw was added in the summer of 2018.

The Specials shop will be the next focused area to grow where stone can be cut to customizable dimensions.

Our finished products are sold across the United States and Canada; mostly to wholesalers.

DRBS is a growing company which had less than 10 employees the first six months and has grown to more than 30 employees in less than 2 years from conception.  The shop runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Currently DRBS operates two work shifts; a day and a night shift.  As the night shift and specials shop grows, there will be growth of at least another 10 employees.
